DI ALEKSANDRA POPOV PRODANOVIC MSc. Arch
Vienna-based architect and artist whose work fluidly moves between architecture and contemporary art. She defines her practice not merely as construction, but as a profound social act; one that shapes not only physical space but also collective experience.
After moving to Vienna in 2016, she pursued a Master's degree in Architecture at the Technical University of Vienna, graduating an engineer degree in Architecture. During her studies and after graduation, her professional focus is on residential architecture and multidisciplinary practice demanding artistic research.
In collaboration with local furniture craftsmen, industrial designers, and professionals in interior design, she is currently developing a start-up initiative that aims to unite small-scale artisans and applied artists from the region. The project seeks to strengthen small businesses by enhancing their visibility and competitiveness, countering the prevailing trends of mass production.
In 2024, she co-founded the associations Independent Art Scene Blau-Weiss-Rot and Tschuldigung Kollektive dedicated to socially engaged projects fostering the recongnition of Balkan artists and social status of “Gastarbeiter” and their contemporar descendants into the European art scene; connecting Austrian cultural institutions with the artists' countries of origin.
Since 2016, she has been developing her artistic and architectural work under the name Ruko Art.
